A Dreamer's Spot

I've always been a dreamer... dreaming about all kinds of things.. of something better... of things to come..i have learned that in dreams, anything is possible.. but let us not forget one important thing.. dreams are good but living in the present is still the best...

Bora Today part 2

On our last day in bora, my son and i together with my manoy decided to go sailing. So my brother called up his trusty friends and off we went to station 1 where the paraws (sailboat) are parked.

It was indeed a different kind of experience. The trip was very much dependent on the wind. If the wind is brisk, then we go fast, but if the wind dies down, boy, we also stood still. Our bankero, dodz, would whistle, and believe it or not, everytime, he whistles, the wind would come. (Reminds me of my tita mari who would always tell me to whistle to call the wind. Unfortunately, i never did learn to whistle!).

So there we were on a fine, perfectly sunny day, a day so hot that our wet clothes would dry in an instant, sailing on a paraw with white sails and a picture of a lizard on it. We went around the island and stop at poka beach. Poka beach is a small part of boracay at the other side of the island. There's no one there, and the current is a bit brisk, thus you have to watch out or you'll get swept away with the current.

We stayed there for an hour and had fun swimming. It feels like our own private island :)

It was indeed a perfect way to spend our last day in the island paradise.

Till next summer, my precious bora :)
