A Dreamer's Spot
I've always been a dreamer... dreaming about all kinds of things.. of something better... of things to come..i have learned that in dreams, anything is possible.. but let us not forget one important thing.. dreams are good but living in the present is still the best...

Bora Today part 2
On our last day in bora, my son and i together with my manoy decided to go sailing. So my brother called up his trusty friends and off we went to station 1 where the paraws (sailboat) are parked.
It was indeed a different kind of experience. The trip was very much dependent on the wind. If the wind is brisk, then we go fast, but if the wind dies down, boy, we also stood still. Our bankero, dodz, would whistle, and believe it or not, everytime, he whistles, the wind would come. (Reminds me of my tita mari who would always tell me to whistle to call the wind. Unfortunately, i never did learn to whistle!).
So there we were on a fine, perfectly sunny day, a day so hot that our wet clothes would dry in an instant, sailing on a paraw with white sails and a picture of a lizard on it. We went around the island and stop at poka beach. Poka beach is a small part of boracay at the other side of the island. There's no one there, and the current is a bit brisk, thus you have to watch out or you'll get swept away with the current.
We stayed there for an hour and had fun swimming. It feels like our own private island :)
It was indeed a perfect way to spend our last day in the island paradise.
Till next summer, my precious bora :)

Bora Today
After talking about it for so long and planning and then re-planning it, my son and i finally arrived in the island paradise of boracay.
i've been here several times already but the place never ceases to amaze me everytime i see it. the long stretch of white beach, the feeling of endless summer, the cool nights, the fascinating people.. bora is really the most magical island for me.
this is already our 4th day here and so far, we've swum like a fish, rolled down the zorb, speed drive at the go-kart, toured the island using the ATV, looked over the whole island at the vantage point in Mt. Luho, feed the fishes and walked on the sea with helmet diving and strolled the island from one end to the other.
tired from all the activities, my son and i decided to have a lazy day today. i went to the spa to have a 'pamper me day' while he get to stay with his uncle mans and eat pizza. i had a body massage, body scrub and foot spa and now, i'm squatting down here in the lazy dog's cool restaurant blogging my heart out... its almost sunset time by the way and on this side of the island - bulabog - its really quite here. with reggae music in the background, me alone in the restaurant, lazing around with throw pillows all around me... God, this is the life :)
my alone hours here made me realized that a vacation is not how many places you've been to but its about relaxing and enjoying the place. so when you do go on vacation, just stay in one place, relax and enjoy!
made me also think that if you work really hard for something, when you get it, its a really great feeling.
Bora is definitely worth the wait!
